When we get a fact wrong, we fix it in the article or data tool and add a dated note saying what changed.

Significant corrections are also listed on this page, newest first, with the date and what changed. How we handle errors is described in our Editorial standards. To report an error, use the contact form with the link to the page and the source that shows the correct fact.

How to report an error

Send us the page through the contact form and tell us three things:

  • the link to the article, data-tool entry or status page with the error;
  • the sentence, figure or date that is wrong;
  • the official or primary source that shows the correct fact: the company’s own announcement, documentation, datasheet, filing or the benchmark maintainer’s leaderboard.

We check every report against that source, because our editorial standards accept only official or primary sources for material facts. A news report or social post on its own is a lead for us to check, not a correction.

How corrections are noted

A corrected article carries a dated note at the end saying what changed. In the data tools, each entry shows its source link and the date we last checked it, so a corrected figure also shows a new check date. A fact we cannot confirm at its source is removed rather than kept with a caveat.
