AI model updates: every release since July 2026, by lab

This table tracks AI model updates from the major labs: every model released, made generally available, deprecated or retired since July 1, 2026, with the date the lab gave for it. It covers OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Meta, xAI, Moonshot AI, DeepSeek and others, newest first. Use the filters to narrow the list by lab or status, or sort by release date.

Every value comes from the lab’s own pages: the launch announcement, the developer changelog or release notes, the model documentation page and the official deprecations page. When a lab’s announcement and its changelog differ, we use the changelog date and say so in the entry. Context window, output limit, modalities and knowledge cutoff appear only when the lab states them on an official page; when it does not, the field stays empty. For deprecations, the date is the day the lab published the notice, and the shutdown date is the one the lab set.

This tool lists release facts only. It does not list API prices, and for open-weight models it does not list parameter counts, licences or hardware requirements.

Each entry links to its primary source and shows the date we last checked it. We review the list three times a week and add new releases as labs announce them.
