CoreWeave said on September 17, 2026 that it added more than $25 billion of net new customer commitments early in the third quarter of 2026. In the same investor release, the company said its total contracted power rose to approximately 4.2 gigawatts as of August 11, 2026, from approximately 3.7 gigawatts as of June 30, 2026.

The figures

Metric As stated by CoreWeave
Net new customer commitments More than $25 billion, early in Q3 2026
Contracted power, June 30, 2026 Approximately 3.7 GW
Contracted power, August 11, 2026 Approximately 4.2 GW
Q3 2026 contract length Approximately three to six months
Contract economics Approximately $40 million per megawatt

Taken together, CoreWeave’s two contracted-power figures show an increase of about 0.5 GW, or roughly 14%, over the six weeks between June 30 and August 11, 2026.

Short contracts, stated per-megawatt economics

CoreWeave says that in the third quarter of 2026 it “has signed short-dated customer contracts of approximately three to six months, with pricing of approximately $40 million per megawatt.” The company defines that per-megawatt figure as annualized revenue divided by the power required to service the related clusters. It is a contract-economics measure reported by CoreWeave, not a rate card for customers.

The definition matters for reading the number. Because the figure is annualized, a contract running three to six months at that rate brings in roughly a quarter to a half of the annual amount over its term. Expressed per megawatt, it ties revenue to the power each cluster draws rather than to a GPU count.

What changes

The release updates CoreWeave’s position on three measures: more than $25 billion of net new customer commitments early in the third quarter; contracted power up from about 3.7 GW to about 4.2 GW between June 30 and August 11, 2026; and third-quarter contracts described as short-dated, at about three to six months, with economics of about $40 million per megawatt on CoreWeave’s annualized definition.

For readers following the neoclouds, contracted power in gigawatts is the figure that lines CoreWeave up against the campus-scale projects announced by hyperscalers and AI labs. The Model Press records those projects, with their stated capacity, in its AI data-center project tracker.
