This page reads Anthropic's official status feed in your browser and shows what Anthropic reports for the Claude API that developers call from their own applications: the current state, open incidents and recent incidents, each linked to the provider's own notice. It refreshes every minute while the page is open.

How to read the status
- Operational: Anthropic reports no problem with the API.
- Degraded or partial problems: some requests fail or are slow, or one part of the API is affected.
- Major outage: Anthropic reports the API, or a main part of it, as unavailable.
- Under maintenance: planned work announced by Anthropic.
The status is what Anthropic itself publishes. Providers usually post an incident a few minutes after problems start, so a short gap between your errors and the official status is common.
If the API fails for you but the status is operational
- Read the error code your request returns and Anthropic's documentation for it: rate limits, overload responses and authentication errors are explained there.
- Try the same request from another network or machine to rule out a local problem.
- Check the Claude status page again a little later: new incidents appear there first.
